1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MyWeakTies ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Platform is operated for the benefit of Wharton Executive MBA alumni and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Pennsylvania or the Wharton School.

2. Eligibility

The Platform is intended for Wharton EMBA alumni. Access requires registration and approval by a Platform administrator, either through an invite code or manual review. We reserve the right to deny or revoke access at any time.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You may authenticate via email/password or Microsoft Entra ID. You agree to provide accurate profile information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory
  • Share confidential business information without authorization
  • Use the Platform for unauthorized commercial solicitation or spam
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export member data
  • Misrepresent your identity or Wharton EMBA affiliation

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant MyWeakTies a non-exclusive license to display your content on the Platform. Forum administrators and platform admins may moderate, pin, lock, or remove content at their discretion.

6. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Profile information you provide is visible to other approved members of the Platform.

7. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. MyWeakTies is a community-run project and is not responsible for the accuracy of user-generated content, job listings, event information, or business opportunities shared by members.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyWeakTies and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
